Kathleen Price is a retired college instructor and marriage and family therapist. During her career, her writing consisted mainly of academic materials for coursework. After the death of her daughter, she co-authored a booklet with a neuropsychologist for parents of children with brain tumors. Since her retirement, she has ventured into writing creative non-fiction. An unpublished memoir about her father placed second in the 2007 Arizona Literary Contest and was then published in the 2007 Arizona Literary Magazine. An excerpt from the manuscript of Dance When the Brain Says No received honorable mention in the 2007 Abilene Writers Guild Writing Contest. Proceeds from the sale of her book will be donated to children's pediatric cancer and brain tumor foundations supporting cancer research and families affected by cancer.
